How it works

Partners earn Partner Points (PP) for published implementation write-ups (case studies) and for selling ERP integrations from the OpenMES offer. Separately from points, an Enterprise license or ERP integration purchased with a partner code earns the partner 10% of revenue. Points never expire and carry over to the following years; their total sets the partner’s level, and the level decides whom we recommend to manufacturers in a given country.

The program rewards partners who actually implement and sell OpenMES, not those who only signed up. It covers all three partnership types listed on getopenmes.com/partners: Implementation Partner, Technology Partner and Reseller/VAR.

Points are not currency: they cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another company. They are used only to set a partner’s level and their place in the lead referral queue.

Points for case studies

Each accepted implementation write-up earns 20 PP. Points are awarded on the day the case study is published on getopenmes.com, not on the day it is submitted.

Acceptance criteria

  1. It describes a real, production OpenMES deployment (Community or Enterprise) delivered by the partner and running for at least 30 days.
  2. The customer has given written consent to publication, under the company name or anonymised (industry + country).
  3. It covers: industry and country, the problem before deployment, scope (modules used, machine/ERP integrations), deployment time and results.
  4. It includes at least 3 screenshots or shop-floor photos (with no sensitive customer data).
  5. The text is original and in English (optionally also in the local language).

Scoring

Flat rate: 20 PP per case study meeting the criteria above, with no bonuses for length or extra materials.

Additional rules

  • One deployment = one case study. Another one can be submitted only after the deployment expands with a new line, site or module.
  • Limit: we award points for up to 4 case studies per partner per quarter.
  • Review takes up to 14 business days. OpenMES may ask for revisions or to contact the customer.
  • A rejected submission can be revised and resubmitted.
  • If the customer withdraws consent or the information proves untrue, we take the case study down and deduct the points.

Enterprise commission and ERP integration points

An Enterprise license or ERP integration purchased with a partner code earns the partner 10% of net revenue for as long as the customer keeps paying. For Enterprise at €500/month that is €600 a year; for an ERP integration at €1,000/year it is €100 a year. On top of that, every ERP integration sold earns 50 PP.
Event What the partner gets When
Enterprise license purchased with partner code 10% of net revenue Monthly, after the customer’s payment is received
ERP integration sold with partner code 50 PP + 10% of net revenue PP after the first invoice is paid, 10% after each payment
ERP integration renewed for another year 10% of net revenue, no new PP After payment is received
Purchase without a partner code Nothing Not applicable
SLA, SaaS and other services Nothing Not applicable
Published implementation write-up (case study) 20 PP On the day of publication

Rules

  • The partner code is unique and issued in the Partner Portal. The customer enters it when ordering; a code added after the purchase does not apply retroactively.
  • The 10% applies only to the Enterprise subscription and the ERP integration. It is calculated on amounts actually paid by the customer, net, in EUR.
  • Commission is paid against the partner’s invoice, on the schedule set out in the partner agreement.
  • When a customer stops paying, the 10% commission ends, but the points earned for that customer stay permanently.
  • When another partner takes over a customer, the commission moves to them from the month of the takeover; points stay with the partner who earned them.
  • An ERP integration earns 50 PP once per customer. A renewal for another year earns no new points; points already earned stay.
  • An Enterprise license on its own earns no points; levels are built with case studies and ERP integrations.

Partner levels

A partner’s level depends on the total PP earned since joining the program. Points never expire and carry over to the following years. Example: two ERP integrations sold (100 PP) reach Gold; one integration plus one case study (70 PP) reach Silver.

Level Threshold (total PP) Lead referrals Partner directory visibility
Registered 0 Only when no higher-level partner exists in the country Listed, not featured
Silver 40 In the country queue, after Gold and Platinum Silver badge
Gold 100 Priority over Silver in their country Gold badge, higher in the list
Platinum 200 Priority in the country + option of territorial exclusivity Platinum badge, featured on the country page
  • Promotion happens as soon as the threshold is reached.
  • Points never expire, so a level does not drop over time. Points are deducted only when a case study is taken down or in cases of abuse (see below).
  • Requirement for Gold and Platinum: at least one person on the partner’s team holds a current OpenMES certification. Without it, the level is suspended until the certification is renewed.

Regional partner referrals

OpenMES passes every inquiry from a manufacturer in a given country to the partner in that country. We do not compete with our partners for customers. When a country has several partners, the order is set by level, and at equal level by PP total.

How we route a lead

  1. A lead reaches OpenMES (form, demo, email, meeting). We determine the country of the production plant, not of the headquarters.
  2. We look for partners assigned to that country:
    • One partner: they get the lead.
    • Several partners: the partner with the highest level gets it; at equal level, the one with more PP; the next lead in that country goes to the next partner in the queue (rotation within the top level).
    • No partner in the country: we check partners in the region (e.g. Nordics, Benelux, Southeast Asia) or serve the customer directly.
  3. The partner has 2 business days to contact the customer and confirm in the Partner Portal. No response = the lead goes to the next partner.
  4. The partner reports the lead status every 30 days (contacted / demo / proposal / won / lost).
  5. A customer can always choose a partner from the directory themselves; their choice takes priority.

Territories

  • At registration, the partner declares the countries where they have staff and local-language support. Several countries are possible if the partner documents a presence or deployments there.
  • Priority markets for partner recruitment: Europe (DE, FR, IT, ES, UK, Nordics, Benelux), the Americas (US, CA, MX, BR, AR, CO, CL), Asia (IN, JP, KR, Southeast Asia, CN), the Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Israel) and Africa (South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, Morocco).
  • Territorial exclusivity (Platinum only): for 12 months in one country, provided the partner keeps Platinum level and signs at least 2 new Enterprise customers in that country per year. Partners already active in that country keep their existing customers.

Unfair practices

Taking a lead assigned to another partner, artificially inflating points (e.g. fake ERP integration orders cancelled after points are awarded) or submitting an untrue case study results in loss of points and, if repeated, exclusion from the program.

Partner training

Every program partner has access to OpenMES training from the day of registration, regardless of points. Training covers deployment, module configuration, API and ERP integrations, and troubleshooting; materials and schedules are in the Partner Portal. Completing the track and passing the exam earns the OpenMES certification.

General terms

  • The program is run by NICE CODE sp. z o.o. as the OpenMES licensor. Legal details (commissions, resale license) are governed by the partner agreement; these rules are an appendix to it.
  • All partners, including existing ones, start at 0 PP on the day the program takes effect.
  • PP balance, level and points history are visible in the Partner Portal.
  • OpenMES may change these rules with 30 days’ notice; points already earned are not lost because of a change.
  • Disputes about lead assignment or points are resolved by the OpenMES team within 14 days of a report to contact@getopenmes.com.
