What is the Symfonia ERP integration module?

The Symfonia ERP integration module for OpenMES connects your manufacturing execution system with Symfonia ERP (formerly Sage Symfonia) – a well-established Polish ERP platform used by thousands of small and midsize businesses. The module synchronizes warehouse documents, product data, and inventory levels between Symfonia’s Handel (Trade) and Magazyn (Warehouse) modules and OpenMES’s real-time production tracking.

Why integrate OpenMES with Symfonia ERP?

Symfonia ERP is a proven solution for trade, warehouse management, and accounting in the Polish market. Many manufacturing companies use Symfonia for their commercial and financial operations while running production on spreadsheets, paper travellers, or disconnected shop floor systems. This creates a data gap: finished goods quantities, material consumption, and waste are entered manually – often hours or days after production.

OpenMES captures these production events in real time and translates them into the Symfonia warehouse documents your accounting and warehouse teams expect. No more manual PW/RW creation, no more stock discrepancies between the floor and the ERP.

How the integration works

The module integrates with Symfonia ERP through direct database access (MS SQL Server) for on-premise installations, or via structured file exchange (CSV/XML) for environments where direct DB access is not available. Both methods support bidirectional data flow.

Key data flows

  • Warehouse Documents – PZ, WZ, RW, PW, and MM documents are generated automatically in Symfonia based on production events tracked by OpenMES.
  • Product Catalog – Products, pricing, units of measure, and attributes from Symfonia are imported into OpenMES. Changes are synchronized automatically.
  • Inventory – Stock quantities across Symfonia warehouses are available in OpenMES for material availability checks. Production consumption and output update Symfonia stock levels.
  • Contractors – Customer and supplier records relevant to production (customer-specific requirements, supplier material specs) are synchronized.
  • Batch/Lot Tracking – Batch and lot numbers assigned during production in OpenMES are recorded in Symfonia for full traceability.

Supported versions
