Profile

The Profile screen lets every user manage their own account information. Changes are personal and do not require administrator approval.

Account Information

The top section of the Profile screen lets you manage your basic identity in the system:

Avatar / Photo – upload a profile picture that appears next to your name throughout the application.
Display Name – your first and last name, shown in the top bar, operator assignment lists, and audit logs.
Email Address – used for login and system notifications. Changing your email requires re-verification to confirm you own the new address.

Some fields on the Profile screen are read-only and can only be changed by an administrator:

Username – set by the administrator when your account is created. It cannot be changed from the Profile screen.
Role Badge – displays your current role (Admin, Supervisor, or Operator). To change your role, contact your administrator.

Preferences let you customize how OpenMES looks and behaves for your account:

Language – switch the interface language. OpenMES supports multiple languages, and the change takes effect immediately – no page reload needed.
Timezone – controls how dates and times are displayed throughout the system. This is important for factories with teams across different time zones, ensuring each user sees timestamps in their local time.
