Change Password
The Change Password screen lets any user update their login password. For security, you must verify your current password before setting a new one.
How to Change
To update your password, follow these steps:
- Enter your current password to verify your identity.
- Type your new password (minimum 8 characters).
- Type the new password again in the confirmation field to make sure there are no typos.
- Click the Change Password button.
After saving, the old password stops working immediately. All other active sessions on other devices or browsers are logged out for security – you will need to log in again with the new password.
Password Requirements
The new password must meet the system's minimum security requirements:
- Minimum 8 characters in length.
- Additional complexity requirements (uppercase, lowercase, numbers, special characters) can be configured by administrators in System Settings > Security.
The system validates the new password before accepting it. If it does not meet the requirements, you will see an error message explaining what needs to change.
Administrator Reset
Administrators can reset any user's password from HR > Workers. This is useful when:
- An employee forgets their password and cannot log in.
- An account needs to be recovered after a security incident.
- A new employee needs a temporary password for their first login.
After an administrator resets a password, the user should change it immediately on their next login.
